On Friday, May 22nd, 2015, fashion expert Bobby Trendz hosted his men's ettiquitte talk here in our beloved city of Birmingham, Alabama. #AGentlemensGuideBirmingham featured budding designer Melvin Jefferson /people-2/2015/3/1/melvin-jefferson-the-wardrobe-consltant, the visionary behind the brand 'Ralpheal Renee', and also brought out an eclectic group of individuals. People from artistic avenues such as. music, fashion design, styling, event coordinating, social media management, bloggers, seamstresses, and more, were in attendance. The evening opened with Bobby Trendz delivering the purpose and misson statement of 'A Gentlemen's Guide' style and ettiquitte talk. Check out the clip, and see what Mr. Trendz has to say!
Following his introduction, he paired us off into twos and had us practice a little "ice breaker" exercise. This loosened us all up, and allowed us to discover cool facts about one another. I was paired off with a cool cat named Justin, he had a great fashion sense, and the accent to his ensemble were his socks. My shoes were unanimously declared my pop outaccessory, and everyone else got their shine too! 😎 Check out some of the photos!
In the above video, Melvin Jefferson shares his number one rule in styling. Check out what he has to say! 😊
Melvin. J gave us some cool insights into the fashion world, as well a brief overview on his fashion/styling beginnings. Bobby Trends passed along some beautiful success stories from his career, and posed questions on social media presence, business branding, and business ettiquitte, The powerful testaments from these two speakers were nothing shy of energizing and inspiring! Everyone in attendance were artistic creatures, so we were all able to identify with going full throttle at a dream.
All in all, #AGentlemensGuideBirmingham was a gathering of like minded individuals who came together and ended up forming a network. Everyone walked away with contact info from experts in various fields and genuine connections. "Meetings of the minds" is where greatness has opportunity to transpire, and we as a generation need to indulge in more engagements of this nature. They could really do our city some good... Just a thought! 😜
