Say Hello to our Holistic Yogini: Jalisa J
Allow me to introduce myself!
I’m Jalisa J aka the Holistic Yogi and I am here to share my love of health and wellness and create a culture of like-minded people who are empowered to be healthy holistically: mind, body and soul.
I am a nurse, yoga teacher and a holistic lifestyle coach. I honestly never thought I would’ve have picked up the latter two titles. Early in my nursing career I noticed I had gotten so caught up in my dreams and goals and ambitions but I noticed my body had began feeling different. I was more stressed out and noticed aches, pains and stiffness and knew I had to get myself back on track.
I went on a self-care journey and was amazed at the benefits I experienced and decided to share them with others. I decided to start my own business and move into a more preventative role. (Let’s not get started on the issues I have with our healthcare system). I’ve seen so many younger people burn out early, lose touch with themselves, and end up unhappy, unfulfilled and unhealthy.
Follow along with me as I give you health and wellness tips and help you stay on a path of success and a positive lifestyle, where a sense of balance is a priority.
I will discuss yoga, meditation, self-care, stress management, healthy eating and physical activity. I love talking about the mind-body connection, decreasing inflammation and candida. Basically I talk a lot about mind health and gut health, along with the importance of creating routine and consistency in your life.
I believe it is important to have fun and be supported on your health and wellness journey.
