LIFE PERSPECTIVE WHILE ON YOUR GRIND: Appreciation Cultivates Humility
What up L.C.P.! Its been a loooong time...i shouldn't have left you, without a dope blog to.....let me stop! r.i.p. Aaliyah.
But in all seriousness as you all know it's 2016 #TheYearOfTheGrind for the L.C.P. movement and I wanted to drop off some thought provoking words to the fellow go gettas that are in the midst of their respective grinds.
The best way to see your life improve is by thanking God for the blessings you have while in your pursuits because IF you lack HUMILITY, LIFE has a funny way of HUMBLING you!! Let that sink in a bit... Think of a time when you pushed for a dream so hard, lost it, and were devasted? Chances are you forgot to appreciate what you had along the way or it simply wasn't time.
Look, we all have goals and drive as ambitious people but I want to share an aha moment I had... Before we start our daily grinds, mantras, hustles, or whatever we are chasing; we have to FIRST take a second and make a conscious effort to force ourselves to slow down and GIVE THANKS!
We must take time to APPRECIATE the small victories on the way to our ultimate goals, DAILY before the grind even starts! No matter how small, because appreciation cultivates humility; and humility is a main ingredient to a solid foundation that can handle the weight of success.
We have to grind and chase our dream but we have to be prepared to recieve what we are chasing, or we will never be able to hold on to it..
The Most High will only plant trees of success in fertile ground.
I feel the best way to stay humble is by looking for small things to be THANKFUL for because they REMIND us of where we came from.....
BUT you have to 1st TRAIN your eyes to see these BLESSINGS instead of the normal day to day DRUDGE that is blinding to your vision.
WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR FOCUS...that's when the blessings start flowing!
Realising that IF we EVER want MORE from life, having a thankful heart for the SMALL things is really the best way see those BIG THINGS come to fruition. We have to make our lives good soil to accumulate the things we are pushing so hard to achieve.
If you lack humilty how do you expect to maintain what we are pushing so hard to attain?
Remember when the praises go up the blessings come down!
