CONNECT WITH YOUR GOALS THRU OBJECT FOCUSED MEDITATION!
Good Morning World, and Haaaaaaaaaaappy Meditation Monday!!
Today's meditation post is about focused meditation. Since we are goal/task oriented beings, sometimes it's hard to get our minds to focus on....well...nothing. Especially since a lot of people interpret the meditation art form, as getting your mind to do nothing. Turning the think tank off and getting it to shut up! Yes, to some degree we are trying to quiet the mind thru mediatation, so how do we actually focus on doing so???
Well, object focused meditation is a way to do so! 😊 some people focus on a candle flame, or a sunrise, or an object/subject you need to become one with. Like....let's say a goal. Maybe you have a weight loss goal, and you want to condition your mind to think, live, and be your weight loss goal. So, how could you use FOCUSED MEDITATION to accomplish this? Maybe you'd focus in on your work out gear. Some dumbbells, a yoga mat, and a fresh bottle of waster. Perhaps you could group those items together in the middle of the floor, and position yourself in front of them. You'd draw your mind in on the objects that pertain to your goal and start speaking your mantras. As I've stated before, you don't have to meditate with voice guides, that quote mantras or prayers that have nothing to do with your internal on goings. You can throw on some theta waves, and create your own! Here's a cool video to try it out with!
