2016: New Year's Fitness Resolutions! #FitCulture

I hope 2015 was a productive and blessed and I hope the year we have just entered into is even more productive and blessed. I got to end 2015 with a visit to New Orleans, with good food, drink and great company! Also, I got a chance to work out with a college buddy I hadn’t seen in 12 years!! Life Changes so much from year to year, yet everything is everything. I hope you understand what I mean by that...Lol

In saying all of that, it’s always time for change and January 1 is just an excuse to start something new or renew something you started years before on this very same day. I am guilty of this myself, so I began to set small goals to reach a bigger goal. By doing this I am able to keep on track monthly. This time while setting monthly goals, I'll be setting weekly goals to reach my monthly goal. Seems like A LOT of goals setting, i know LOL! If time management is as important in your life as it is mine, these steps are necessary because we (people like me) have so much going on weekly that it’s necessary to plan!

For this #YearOfTheGrind #LCPFitness and health will take you through some goal setting musts when it comes to fitness goals. I want to also share with you my year goals throughout this year within a 12 step process called #TheYearOfTheGrind brought to us by our curator.

The 12 step process to fitness goal setting will be in Next article

Not only am I going to share with you how to set goals, but also share my experiences with this process as it progresses. This is a challenge, a battle between lower self and higher self. So if you're ready to go to the next step in your fitness lifestyle-HERE...WE.GO!! #THEYEAROFTHEGRIND  #LIVETHECREED #BREEDTHECREED

Below are four important steps to guide you in properly setting your fitness goals and resolutions. You can use these steps for fitness or any kind of goals you have set for yourself.

Step 1

-Ask yourself why? What’s causing the change in you? Why do you want this particular fitness goal? Chances are if you’re doing it to get back at an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, that motivation won’t last long. Find a deeper reason.

Step 2

-Often, I come across clients that have no idea what kind of work it takes to reach certain fitness goal. They are unclear of the food choices and changes/schedule changes, or supplement enhancements that are required to reach certain fitness goals.

Talk to someone who looks how you want to look and ask them what they did to get there. You take from it what you feel might work for you. That includes exercise and food advice. You might not like what they give you, so tailor it to fit your lifestyle in order to reach the same goal.

For example they might have added beef to their diet, but you’re not a beef eater; so you'll probably just substitute that for chicken. They are both are lean meats, so they'll serve the same purpose.

Don’t be afraid to look ignorant, ask questions! Lol Everyone has something they do that's special and works for them. Your goal is to figure out what works for you.

Step 3

-Set specific goals for your health and fitness plans to reach your weekly goals.

-Be specific when you decide how you want to sculpt your body or how much weight you want to lose, so that you'll know what you'll need to work on. For example, if you want your body to look like Serena Williams.'s body, but you know you don’t have the body type to reach a Serena Williams look.. Well that's where you have to go back to step 1 and be realistic with yourself, but you get my drift, right?

Another example of specifics is “I want to lose 3 inches from my waist and build six pack abs.” The more specific you are the clearer you will be on how to achieve and complete the goal you have set for yourself.

Step 4

Remember this is a battle between lower self and higher self, so don’t give up on yourself. Feed your spirit daily with affirmations and motivational videos. Personal development is most important. When transforming the body, you must transform the mind. The mind must grow with the body and develop strength as well. This is the most important step of them all.

Please, I would love your feedback, let me know what you think of these steps and how they might work for you in your life. Be blessed, please comment, and please share!
