It's been a few weeks since my last post, and I do sincerely apologize for my absence. There has been a lot of change taking place in my personal and professional life, and I have been trying to acclimate to the modifications. But enough of the small talk, let's get down to business!
So...Springing Up, Springing Forth, and Springing into action eh... How about those beautiful flowers for thought?! (lol) There's something about April 1st that really lets me know the Spring has truly arrived. Maybe it's because after this date, the cold weather pretty much goes away for good. Maybe it's the sight of my pollen covered car, or the buzzing busy bumble bee's, wasps and hornets. Maybe it's the change in fashion.. no more sweaters, pea coats and boots, because the sun is brightly shinning and the temperatures are mild. Maybe it's the fact that we have just ended the 1st business quarter of the year and are embarking on the 2nd one. It could be a lot of things, but for me, I can smell the change in the air, and I am gearing up to Spring Up. Spring Forth. and Spring into Action! Are you with me????? (comment below to let me know if you are!)
For some of us, we may have gotten a little side tracked on our new years resolutions... As painful as it is to admit, I know I have. The momentum wears off a bit, and then we and fall back into our comfort zones. It's okay, we're human, it happens. After all, we're not well oiled machines programmed to do only one thing. We're humans with free will and minds that think on their own and wonder off from time to time. It happens. Life happens... and can sometimes get in the way of our goals. But you know what's good about it being April 1st and not October 1st??? It's the start of the 2nd quarter and not the 4th! This means that there's still time to accomplish our 2015 goals in their entirety. I know I plan to! I have lot's of wonderful goals for L.C.P. that I PLAN to accomplish this year, and honestly speaking, I am behind... :( I wrote a post in January called 'Game Time' http://lifeculturepeople.squarespace.com/the-latest/2015/2/02/game-time where I give tips on reaching goals. I talk about VISION, COMMITMENT, ORGANIZATION, DEDICATION, and PERSEVERANCE. These are all key tools to implement into your thought process and planning efforts if you really want to accomplish something that you never have before. After all, planning is more than half the game. How else can you plot out each play if there is no plan to reference??? You cant. It'll be like driving to a place you've never been before, with no directions, land marks to reference or GPS, YOU'LL NEVER GET THERE!
But we're not going to cry over spilled milk or beat ourselves up over what we should've, could've, or would've done differently. We'll just simply regroup, reassess, and replan!
So... how do you plan to restart your vision engine? What will you spring into this quarter? Let me know and comment below! *Drop your name and email address to join our family of readers*
